These vacancies span across various Ministries, Departments, Constitutional/Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals under the Government of India.


Vacancy Details and Post-Wise Age Limits

The recruitment includes multiple posts such as Assistant Section Officers, Inspectors (Income Tax, Central Excise, Preventive, Examiner, etc.), Auditors, Accountants, Tax Assistants, Sub-Inspectors, Junior Statistical Officers, Senior Secretariat Assistants, and more. These are distributed across different ministries like CBDT, CBIC, CBI, External Affairs, Railway, Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Finance, and others.

Age limits for these posts vary between 18 to 32 years, depending on the position. For instance, most Assistant Section Officer and Inspector posts fall in the 18-30 years range, while Junior Statistical Officers can apply up to 32 years. Some posts like Auditor, Accountant, and Tax Assistant are open to candidates aged 18-27 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): A Bachelor’s degree in any subject with 60% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard, OR a Bachelor’s degree with Statistics as a subject at degree level.

  • Statistical Investigator Grade-II: A Bachelor’s degree with Statistics as a subject in all 3 years or 6 semesters of graduation.

  • All Other Posts: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute.

Candidates currently in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they acquire the essential qualification by August 1, 2025.

Age Relaxation for Reserved Categories

The SSC has allowed the following age relaxations:

  1. SC/ST: 5 years

  2. OBC: 3 years

  3. PwD (Unreserved): 10 years

  4. PwD (OBC): 13 years

  5. PwD (SC/ST): 15 years

Application Fee Details

  • General/OBC Candidates: ₹100/-

  • SC/ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen: No Fee

  • Payment Mode: Online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or SBI Challan.

SSC CGL 2025 Exam Dates

  • Start of Online Application: June 9, 2025

  • Last Date to Apply: July 4, 2025

  • Tier-I Exam Dates: August 13 to August 30, 2025

  • Tier-II Exam (Computer Based): December 2025

SSC CGL 2025 Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL 2025 Examination will be held in two stages:

  • Tier-I: Computer-Based Exam

  • Tier-II: Computer-Based Exam with additional skill tests where applicable

Marks will be normalized in case exams are held in multiple shifts. No re-evaluation or re-checking will be allowed for any tier or paper.

Exam Centres in North Eastern Region

Candidates from the North Eastern Region (NER) can choose from the following exam centres:

  • Assam: Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Silchar

  • Arunachal Pradesh: Itanagar

  • Nagaland: Dimapur, Kohima

  • Meghalaya: Shillong

  • Manipur: Imphal, Churachandpur, Ukhrul

  • Tripura: Agartala

  • Mizoram: Aizawl
